About Your 2 Wheels

Hi, I’m Angela.

Some of you may know me. Others might not.
But this is my story.

Motorcycles were never part of my life plan in a serious way.

In 2017, I met my late partner Jason. On our first date he turned up on his Ducati. From that day forward, riding became part of our story. I became his pillion, and together we attended charity rides like Paw Justice –  Ride for Justice in 2018 and 2019, discovering a world built on loyalty, connection and shared roads.

Then 2020 arrived. Lockdown. Silence. Too much time to think.

When life opened back up, I made a decision. I did not just want to sit on the back anymore. I wanted to ride my own.

Jason bought me a scooter to practise on. I completed my Basic Handling and soon after bought my first bike – a Yamaha R3. Jason insisted on ABS and all the safety features. He lowered it for me and we customised it together. It became ours.

Then everything changed.

Jason suffered a sudden medical event while we were out riding. He spent nine days in ICU on life support. Losing him shattered my world.

I did not think I could ever ride without him.

But the Auckland motorcycle community wrapped around me in a way I will never forget.

Riders I barely knew escorted Jason on his final ride to the crematorium. The sound of engines, the formation of bikes, the presence of complete strangers showing up with nothing but respect and heart – I had never experienced love like that before.

They did not just support me.
They carried me.

Riders checked in. They rode with me. They reminded me I still belonged on two wheels.

Riding became my wind therapy. A connection to my soulmate. A way to feel strong again.

Over the past few years I have made lifelong friends through motorcycling. And one thing kept sitting in my mind:

Hampton Downs Track Training

Why is there no single, organised place for our riding communities?

Facebook groups are cluttered. Events get buried. Algorithms change. Ride planning becomes chaotic. Important updates get lost.

Since 2021, I have been quietly building this space.

A platform where:

  • Moto crews can create their own communities

  • Rides can be organised properly

  • Routes can be shared and discovered

  • Events are easy to find

  • Riders can connect without fighting an algorithm

This is not about replacing the motorcycle community.
It is about strengthening it.

This space is built by a rider, for riders.

Because motorcycles gave me more than transport.

They gave me belonging.
They gave me healing.
They gave me a new chapter.

And now I want to give something back.

Supporting This Platform

This platform is free to use and always will be.

It is supported by motorcycle businesses who choose to advertise here, and by riders who believe in having a community space we own ourselves.

If you are a motorcycle supplier, service provider, workshop or brand and would like to support this platform through advertising or sponsored content, I would love to hear from you.

And if you are simply a rider who believes in what we are building, there will be an option to contribute and help keep this space growing.

Every bit of support helps keep this community independent and rider-focused.
