Creating a Group

Creating a group allows you to build a community around a specific riding interest, location, club, event, or motorcycle type.

Suggested Group Types

• Regional Rider Groups
• Motorcycle Brand Groups
• Adventure Riding Groups
• Touring Groups
• Cruiser Groups
• Women’s Riding Groups
• Motorcycle Club Groups
• Event-Specific Groups

To Create a Group

1. Visit the Groups page.
2. Click Create Group.
3. Enter a group name.
4. Add a description explaining the purpose of the group.
5. Upload a group profile photo.
6. Upload a group cover image.
7. Choose the group privacy settings.
8. Complete the setup process.

Your new group will then be available to members.

Group Roles

Each group has several member roles that help keep the group organised and running smoothly.

Organiser

The Organiser is the owner of the group and has full control over all group settings and management functions.

An Organiser can:

• Edit group settings
• Change the group description
• Upload group images
• Approve membership requests
• Invite members
• Remove members
• Promote members to Co-Organiser
• Promote members to Moderator
• Remove Moderators
• Manage group content

Co-Organiser

A Co-Organiser helps the Organiser manage the group and has many of the same management permissions.

A Co-Organiser can typically:

• Help manage members
• Approve membership requests
• Moderate discussions
• Manage group content
• Assist with group administration

Co-Organisers are ideal for helping manage larger groups or sharing responsibilities with trusted members.

Moderator

Moderators help maintain a positive and respectful environment within the group.

Moderators may:

• Monitor discussions
• Help answer member questions
• Remove inappropriate content
• Report issues to the Organiser or Co-Organisers
• Encourage positive participation

Member

Members are the heart of every group and can:

• View group content
• Participate in discussions
• Create posts
• Comment on posts
• Upload photos and media (where permitted)
• Participate in group activities and events

Managing Members

As an Organiser or Co-Organiser, you can:

1. Open your group.
2. Navigate to the Members section.
3. Select the member you wish to manage.
4. Choose the appropriate action:
   • Promote to Co-Organiser
   • Promote to Moderator
   • Remove from Group

Only promote members you trust to help manage the group.

Organiser Responsibilities

As a Group Organiser, you are responsible for ensuring your group remains welcoming, respectful, and aligned with the Your2Wheels Community Guidelines.

This includes:

• Managing member behaviour
• Resolving disputes fairly
• Removing inappropriate content
• Ensuring group discussions remain relevant
• Contacting site administrators if serious issues arise
